Game Recap

Marquette traveled to Kingsford to take on the Flivers in their second UPSC game of the year Tuesday evening and came away with a 1-1 tie. Sierra Carlson put home a goal midway through the first half off an assist by Deni Peterson. Kingsford answered early in the second half tying the score 1-1.
Both teams went back and forth in a hard fought, physical game through the rest of the second half and 2 OT periods with no score. Caitlin Palomaki made the save of the game, with a great stop early in the 1st OT off a nice header by the home team. Marquette just missed the game winner in the 2nd OT as the Kingsford keeper made a nice save off a high hard shot. Both teams come away with a point and remain tied for first place in the UPSC.
Marquette next travels to Kaukauna, WI Saturday for the Kaukauna invite.
Next week the girls go to the Sault on Tuesday before returning home to take on Marinette for their first home game on the schools new turf Thursday night at 6:00pm
